It was a thud of a season ending. Probably more so for the folks that haven't read the book since it was short of all the action that the preceding episode provided. I am eagerly anticipating the next season and the presentation of the rest of Book 3!
The author used the word "Spoilers" in the 3rd paragraph before he got into the recap. I think people were sufficiently warned.
There is one more death as portended by the Red Witch in the previous episode (Well, two really, but the Iron born are irrelevant to the TV show apparently). I had assumed that the Red Wedding would be the cliff hanger for this season but I guess they are going with the other wedding instead. Do you really think they will push it until Season 4?
I agree with not having an apartment complex built in t he spot proposed.
I have a better idea. Instead of building something new, Let Morgan take the Savannah complex next to Manhattan Square Park and turn it into high range apartments / condos. There are already 126 units there within walking distance of the East End. The Section 8 housing there does no good as all of the jobs downtown have dried up and moved to the Burbs thereby defeating the purpose of having low income people live there. That should be step 1 in bringing people with money back downtown and it also helps to increase momentum on the gentrification that has already started. The restaurants and bars will follow.
In the books, Loras joins the King's Guard and hence not available to marry. I can't remember if marriage was discussed before his appointment.
Thanks for the review. I am looking forward to the Red Wedding. :-)
I love all the comments. The investment in a Fine Arts degree should not be the same as the investment in an Engineering degree, plain and simple. Universities need to adapt because the system is broken in this country. The same way the health care industry is now being forced to adapt because they refused to change their own broken system. Educators should be pro-active about this!
We have a great lineup this year!
Comedians set to appear include Joe DeVito (“Last Comic Standing”, Comedy Central), Andy Pitz (“Late Show with David Letterman”, “The Late Late Show”), Maria Borgio (HBO’s “Man in the Box”, “New York Underground Comedy Festival”), Melvin George ("An Evening at the Improv", HBO’s "Def Comedy Jam") and, our MC for the evening, Mike Speirs (“Nobodies of Comedy Tour”).
