Trump apologist right-wing white boys expecting us to believe they can tell us anything whatsoever about how black Americans and patriotism squares. That's rich.
If ever in the annals of City Newspaper called out for a Joseph Welch moment - confronting Joe McCarthy, "Have you no decency, sir? At long last, have you no decency?" it is now: not too long ago on this site Don Sherman repeated the cheap Trump lie that on 9/11 scores of Muslims cheered the fall of the Twin Towers, providing crypto-Fascist links to "prove" this disgusting lie. Mr. Sherman, you just walked all over the Ninth Commandment; you know, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." Do not talk to us about God and Country when making a mockery of the most basic Christian - and American - values and not even getting the basics of the Ten Commandments down.
Slaughter is one of the good people standing between us, and the people who would privatize our Social Security and Medicare; take (more) from the middle class and give to you-know-who; who would make the rich richer, the poor poorer and the sick sicker. Her time in Congress shall come to an end but she has my vote.
How did conservative pundit and certified climate change-denier, George Will, put on on Monday? "[Trump's campaign theme? His Cleveland convention was a mini-Nuremberg rally for Republicans whose three-word recipe for making America great again was to shriek 'Lock her up!' This presages his banana-republican vow to imprison his opponent."
We will save for another time George Will's numerous contributions to the banana-republicazation of America.
We can be sure America's Muslim's felt Trump's love when he called for a ban on all entering Muslims; when he called for the registration; their surveillance (to name but a few). We can be sure Americans from Mexico felt Trump's love when he called for building that wonderful wall ("It will be a great wall!"); deemed Mexican's coming to America as murderers and rapists; when he vilified an American-born federal judge but whose ancestry is Mexican (to name but a few). We know American women felt Trump's love (and his tiny fingers) when . . . where to begin? Well tonight Trump supporters are now calling for repealing the 19th Amendment. Women know abusive men when they see one. Little wonder if only women voted Trump would yield 80 (count 'em!) Electoral Votes. (fivethirtyeight) We wonder why Trump has a 30 point gap between men and women.
No doubt Gary Johnson would be very tough on East Korea.
What a moronic title, since there will be no "beyond" either Trump or Clinton (one of them, you know, will become president, so the "beyond" is beyond stupid), and these clownish third partiers will be justly relegated to the ash-heap of history in four weeks.
This just in, Camilla: voting for president is not some lifestyle choice. It's a civic duty. How far we have fallen from "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country," evidently fairly alien in the culture of narcissism.
