Re: “For undocumented workers, a rock and a hard place

Cera, Tell your daughter she could easily get a job doing what Dolores does: picking apples by climbing trees 12-14 hrs a day 6-7 days a week in the fall for six weeks. Then if she were the lucky few, she could climb ladders through the winter to trim apple trees. Or she could do what Dolores did before she permanently moved her, your daughter could hitch a ride to Florida orange groves and pick fruit through two inch long thorns in the 100 degree Florida sun all to make press than 17,000 a year.

Yea Cera, call any apple farm and they will take your daughter in a minute. And then you could proudly say like Dorloes does, "my daughter produces the food you eat".

And by the way, she gets no personal services or financial support from any government agency not even labor protections, not even financial support for her daughter to go to college. But she does pay taxes for all the government does or will do for you and your daughter. So go ahead Cera and tell me what job you didn't get because an immigrant took it.
