Re: “Feedback 5/16

I was born in Rochester, N.Y. during WWII and I still hold very vivid and poignant memories of the warm, colorful, and for a 5 year old, alive, exhilarating and glittery downtown world.

It's an old theme that always pops up in your rag, but don't hold your breath. I believe the only way our City Fathers can inject some blood and vitality into the downtown area is to put in a Wegman's, a Target, a Kohl's, a slew of cheap, good restaurants, a couple of state-of-the-art movie houses (don't be so LITTLE, pun intended!), all of this squeezed twixt those tall empty, cemetery-like high skyscrapers. In other words all the things the suburbs have easy access to, but the inner city (read a six-letter word: ghetto) are still dreaming about.

Re: “Feedback 4/30

CHOCOLATE lovers attending the Wine & Chocolate sessions scheduled during the upcoming not-to-miss International Lilac Festival should be aware of a current THORN (mine! ) in the side of an Industry that slept for 120 years, a one-man movement on my @twitter account ("Dhani Schimizzi") to finally place "child-labor-free" LABELS on all their chocolate products.

My research shows that if you check the website of LINDT & SPRUNGLI they are way ahead of the other main players like Coca Cola (GODIVA), Nestles, KITKAT, CadburyUK & Hershey's Kisses in the struggle to eliminate chld SLAVE labor in the Chocolate Industry. For conscientous "aficionados" of the sweet, 120 years is a long time to wait -"si" or "no"?
