I'm very excited to walk this new promenade and look into everyone's windows in the prison(?) that's being built around Dinosaur BBQ
Why no endorsement for Attorney General? It's a big race and Zephyr Teachout is positioned to win. The bulk of her career has been devoted to understanding and fighting political corruption. Given the flagrant corruption on display lately in Albany and Washington, having an independent fighter like Zephyr keeping an eye on things is super important.
A recent episode of The Capitol Pressroom spoke with members of the Albany Citizens' Police Review Board, which has been functioning very well and has been used by other cities as a model. We could learn a lot from our neighbor down the Thruway.

Part of the problem with past projects was always a "If you build it, they will come" philosophy. Visionary Square addresses this by requiring active programming of the space with events and vendors. We've seen an actively programmed park take off in Buffalo with Larkin Square and Canalside, we even see glimpses of it at the Public Market with the Food Truck Rodeo and other non-market events. If we build it, and work to give people a reason to come, they will. The ferry and Renaissance Square failed in part because they were a means with no end. This is a much better planned project.
It's the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - ELCA.
It should be mentioned that Dogtown is the only place in the city that I've found to serve a vegan garbage plate! A neat meatless take on the original, it leaves you wanting a bit for grease, but it's a great alternative.
Re: “RBJ cartoon brings protests and apology”
I hope something fruitful comes of their conversation with the Out Alliance. That cartoon was one of the worst ones I've seen published in Rochester or anywhere.
