Absolutely terrible idea. What are they thinking? Not only would this spit in the face of people who buy the club passes, asking them to pay the same amount for less shows and then be expected to cough up even more money if they want to see a Kilbourn show, it would also be stupid in actual audience behavior. Only a few of the Kilbourn shows were genuine sell-outs this year-- particularly those later in the week had a lot of empty seats. Charge audiences (who have already spent a lot on club passes and headliners) more for those shows, and you're pretty much guaranteeing paying bands to play to a virtually empty theater. If standing in long lines is the real concern, have the Kilbourn shows expand to a 6:00, an 8:00, and a 10:00-- three shows instead of two. That should help solve that problem, and won't screw over the Jazz Festival's passholders.
