Local band Landmark claims that it writes "traditional Americana music for the modern ear." Similar to bands such as Punch Brothers and Trampled by Turtles, Landmark takes Americana music and adjusts the sound to fit in a contemporary setting, while still retaining the best parts of the tradition. The band is made up of four talented musicians, whose immense talent adds to the complexity and flexibility of the music. In June, Landmark released its first self-titled EP, and it can be seen performing frequently throughout the Rochester area.
Landmark performs on Saturday, September 7, 9 p.m. at Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Point Drive. $3-$5. lovincup.com.
