Buffalo-based musician David Miller has blues in his bones. Whether it's in his solo project, his duo, Miller and the Other Sinners, or his full band, Dive House Union, it's blues with a little bit of gospel poured in. Sultry, plump and soulful, Miller's sound travels from intimate coffeeshops to high-octane festival stages, depending on his arrangement. He's touring now off the release of his first solo album, "Poisons Sipped." For the project, Miller also brought on that Sacred Steel of The Campbell Brothers, for which they're known worldwide. Darick Campbell joins Miller on this tour with his trembling lap steel, portly soul, and a sound thick with African-American gospel music. David Miller and Darick Campbell play Wednesday, December 3, at Abilene Bar & Lounge, 153 Liberty Pole Way. 8 p.m. $5. abilenebarandlounge.com, davemillermusic.com.
