This Sunday, Asbury First United Methodist Church's Salon Series will offer something different for those looking to get away from the Super Bowl madness. Pianist Rebecca Penneys, violinist Mikhail Kopelman, and cellist Stefan Reuss, a trio of musicians from the Eastman School of Music faculty, will offer a program of two Romantic-era trios: the Brahms Piano Trio No. 3 in C minor, Op. 101, and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66. This program is a change from Asbury First's originally announced February 1 program of French chamber music, which will be performed on March 22 instead.
Salon Series at Asbury First will be Sunday, February 1, at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue. $30-$35. asburyfirst.org/events.
