The totals:

2595 US soldiers, 230 Coalition soldiers, and approximately 40,069 to 44,596 Iraqi civilians have been killed in Iraq from the beginning of the war and occupation to August 14.

3902 Iraqi police and guardsmen have been killed since January 2005, according to an estimate compiled from news reports.

American soldiers killed between August 4 and 10:

Mennemeyer, 26, Granite City, Illinois; Sergeant Jeffery S. Brown, 25, Trinity Center, California; Lance Corporal Jeremy Z. Long, 18, Sun Valley, Nevada
