Daily Choices: What to do on Friday, November 9

COMEDY: Beloved comedy great Billy Cosby will perform stand-up tonight, 8 p.m., at Auditorium Theatre (885 E. Main St.). Tickets are $52-$82 and available by calling 800-745-3000 or visiting tickmaster.com. For more information, visit rbtl.org.

MUSIC: Brooklyn duo Sleigh Bells might seem, judging by name alone, like an early holiday diversion. But don't be misled by the moniker. The pair produces a loud, raucous brand of noise pop/rock, awash in reverb and infectious riffs. There is no "might" at play here. It WILL get loud. Hip-hop producer AraabMUZIK opens the show. This show was rescheduled from early October, with tickets from the original date still valid for the show tonight at Water Street Music Hall (204 N. Water St., $20-$23, 8 p.m., waterstreetmusic.com).

FESTIVAL: The Victor Wine & Food Fest takes place tonight, 5:30-9 p.m., at Ravenwood Golf Club (929 Lynaugh Road, Victor). Tickets are $30-$35, or $55 for two, and registration is required. Call 742-6320 or visit victorldc.org for more information.

MUSIC: If blips and beeps and 8-bit screeches are music to your ears, you won't want to missROC_Chip tonight at the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave.). The Future Band, Cu-Cu, Sweat, and VJ Plz will all be there, so head on down and revel in a night full of 80's and video game job. Music starts at 9 p.m., cover runs $5-$7.

ART: Katharine Clemens' senior solo exhibition, "Leave Your Dryer Lint Outdoors so a Squirrel Can Enjoy the Warm Bits of Sweaters You Love," is enigmatic as all get out, but it sure sounds cute. Catch the opening tonight, 6-9 p.m., at A Different Path Gallery (27 Market St., Brockport). The show runs through November 30 and admission is free. For more information, visit adifferentpathgallery.com.

MUSIC: MusicaSpei presents and performs as part of the 12th Annual Rochester Early Music Festival tonight at St. Anne Church (1600 Mt. Hope Ave.). MusicaSpei performs a cappella style from a vast repertoire of rarely performed, sacred choral masterworks of the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Also performing will be Pegasus Early Music, the Amadeus Choral, Eastman Collegium Baroque Orchestra and Viol Consort, Baroquen Bones, PublickMusick, and organists Christopher Wilke and T. Woolard Harris. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., tickets cost $5-$15. For more information visit wp.musicaspei.org.

DANCE: Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, Tango Cafe Dance Studio (3rd Floor Ballroom, 389 Gregory St.) will host "Swing: A Night of Films, History, and Dancing," which will include vintage and modern film clips of Lindy Hoppers, beginner swing dance lessons, a social dance with DJ Sam Copeland of Buffalo, and refreshments. Tickets are $6. For more information, call 706-2621 or 271-4930.

MUSIC: Palmyra-based Grateful Dead cover band Run for the Roses will be jamming it up tonight at Montage Music Hall (50 Chestnut St., themontagemusichall.com) as part of its monthly residency there. Music starts at 9:30 p.m., cover only $6.
