Daily Choices: What to do on Monday, December 3 

SPECIAL EVENT: See how the artists at Geva Theatre Center put together their incredible productions at "Magic in the Making." Meet the artisans who create props and costumes, lighting cues, sound design, and more over the backdrop of "A Christmas Carol." MUSIC: Dance parties are always fun, and the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave., bug jar.com, 9 p.m) is kicking off its brand new Monday dance-party series with Dance David Lee Rad and DJ Cub tonight. The party is free ($10 for unders) and there's free pizza at 11 p.m., so what more could you ask for?

LECTURE: Savor a catered lunch at noon or an informal tea at 2 p.m. with the Susan B. Anthony House while listening to an informative lecture. Author Julie Cummins will present "Daredevils in Petticoats" in the Carriage House behind the Visitor Center (19 Madison St.). Lecture and lunch $25, tea and lecture $15. MUSIC: Get those pipes ready! Lovin Cup (300 Park Point Drive, lovincup.com) is kicking off The Voice(s), an acapella competition this week, going every week until December 17. Want to try out? Or just want to see other people try out? Head on down at 8 p.m. and check the competition out yourself.
