Festival of Food, rock from the UK, and a book club for adults who love YA lit

Main St., Canandaigua). The first meeting takes place today 6-7 p.m., and participants should bring a YA book or title for consideration. For more information, call 394-1381.
ART: The New York Figure Study Guild is holding its 5th Annual Art Exhibition at Steve Carpenter Gallery & Art Center (175 Anderson Ave.) through September 15. Enjoy beautiful works exploring and celebrating the human form created by masters of their craft. SPECIAL EVENT: The annual Festival of Food, put on by regional food bank Foodlink, is back on Monday 6-9 p.m. The event takes place at the Public Market (280 N. Union St.), and includes samples of food and drink from dozens of the area's best restaurant, vineyards, breweries, bakeries, farmers, and more. MUSIC: Is there a better way to start off a week then with some live music? Check out indie rock group The Wombats, all the way from the UK, but playing tonight at Water Street Music Hall (204 N. Water St). Tickets are only 94 cents with a purchase of an AWOLNATION ticket, or $9.41-$10 at the door. The music starts at 8 p.m., and with a price like that, you can't go wrong. MUSIC: Looking for something a little subtler, a little sultrier, a little more suave? Mark Bader will be laying down the sweet jazz lines at Bistro 135 (135 W. Commercial St., East Rochester) starting at 5:30 p.m.. He'll be there every Monday this month, but why put off a good thing?
