Daily Choices: What to do on Thursday, April 25 

Lecture: The Archaeological Institute of America will hold a lecture titled "Agatha Christie, Archaeology, and Alzheimer's" tonight, 7:30 p.m., at the Memorial Art Gallery (500 University Ave.). Music: The University of Rochester Carillon Society will be presenting a special concert of Boston music - Bells for Boston - today at 2:30 p.m. on the Eastman Quadrangle on the University of Rochester River Campus (500 Wilson Boulevard). Songs will include The Dropkick Murphys' "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," "Sweet Caroline," and others.

Music: Looking for some rap tonight? It may be at an unexpected place, but Connecticut’s own Chris Webby will be spitting the rhymes at Montage Music Hall (50 Chestnut St., themontagemusichall.com) at 7 p.m. Tickets run $20-$22., so head on down and see his game for yourself.

Recreation: Letchworth State Park in Castile will host two events in celebration of spring today. Take part in the Wildflower Walk Featuring Fiddleheads at 1 p.m., or join the Crepuscular Walk Full Moon Frog Serenade at 7 p.m. There is an $8 parking fee on the grounds. Bring a lunch to the earlier walk, and dress in layers for the evening hike. For more information, call 493-3625.

Music: The March of Dimes will be having a Proceeds for Preemies tonight at Lovin Cup (300 Park Point Dr., lovincup.com), featuring the music of Amanda Lee Peers, Teressa Wilcox, and The Lonely Ones. Event starts at 6 p.m., with a $5 suggested donation.

Art: Check out Irondequoit Art Club’s 55th Annual Spring Show and Sale today at Irondequoit Public Library, Evans Branch (45 Cooper Rd.). Music: Country comes to Rochester tonight when Peewee Moore and Band hit Abilene (153 Liberty Pole Way, abilenebarandlounge.com). Music starts at 8:30 p.m., tickets run $5-$8. Yee-haw!

Music: Folkster Tim Avram will be serenading folks at the Rabbit Room (61 North Main St., Honeoye Falls, thelowermill.com) tonight at 8 p.m., so head on over and grab some food and enjoy some tunes.
