SPECIAL EVENT: Do all those gluten-filled cookies floating around during the holidays get you down? Gluten-free individuals can participate in the fun now too at Greater Rochester Celiac Support Group's Cookie Exchange. MUSIC: Looking for one jam packed night of music to enjoy tonight? You’ve got a quadruple order of local bands tonight at the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave., bugjar.com), with SLEEPER4GENT, The Big, Pat Buchanan's Hearse, and Airport Scene all there for your musical enjoyment. Music starts at 9 p.m., cover runs$5-$7. The fun doesn’t stop after the bands though, DJ Professor’s Nightmare Before Christmas will take over the dance floor at midnight.

MUSIC: Sure, folk and metal might be two genres that don’t seem like they would make good bedfellows, but Eluveitie merges the two together. You can check it out for yourself tonight at Water Street Music Hall (204 N. Water St., waterstreetmusic.com). WinterSun and Varg open up, music starts at 8 p.m., tickets $15.
