Turbo Fruits, a 9/11 play, Books Sandwiched In, and more

LITERATURE: Central Library's free lunchtime lit program, Books Sandwiched In, kicks off today, 12:12-12:52 p.m., with Dan Rather's "Rather Outspoken: My Life in the News," reviewed by Rochester's own newsman Don Alhart. Bring a sandwich to the Kate Gleason Auditorium at Central Library (115 South Ave.). For more info: 428-8350, libraryweb.org.

THEATER: Playwright Justin Rielly used first-hand accounts from family, friends, co-workers, and others to tell the story in "American Enigma: The 9/11 Play," which will be staged tonight at 7 p.m. at MuCCC (142 Atlantic Ave.). This performance is a pay-what-you-will production, with a $6 suggested ticket price. For more information, call 244-0960 or visit muccc.org.

FILMS: The Dryden Theatre at George Eastman House (900 East Ave.) will host a screening in its silent-film series tonight. Catch the 1920 Cecil B Demille flick, "Why Change Your Wife?" at 8 p.m. Admission is $6-$8; for more information, call 271-3361 or visit dryden.eastmanhouse.org.

MUSIC: Come out for an album-release party with Nashville rock and rollers Turbo Fruits, local best-named-band-ever Harmonica Lewinski, and Josh Netsky at the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave.) Music starts at 9 p.m.; tickets run $8-$12 and can be purchased in advance or at the doors. Check out bugjar.com for all the info.

MUSIC: Jim Nelson will be live at Lemoncello (137 W. Commercial St., East Rochester) tonight, for a free show, starting at 7 pm. The local acoustic guitar wielder, combined with an evening out of fine dining, will make a much better time than whatever else you had planned for Tuesday night. Check lemoncello137.com for info.
