Daily Choices: What to do on Wednesday, December 19 

THEATER: View what FLCC students in the Introduction to Theatre class have learned over the semester at the 10-Minute Play Festival. Plays include “Special Gifts from Daddy” by Jeremy Baker, “Same Girl” by Courney Rankin, “Closer Than You Think” by Dylan DeGeorge, and “Truth in Fiction” by Codey Allen. 1:15 p.m.-1:50 p.m. Stage 14, second floor of the FLCC Student Center. 3325 Marvin Sands Dr. 785-1623.

MUSIC: Starting to get in the holiday spirit? Head on down to Abilene (153 Liberty Pole Way, abilenebarandlounge.com) for its annual holiday party, this year featuring Grr! opening the night up with some jazz, and Grand Canyon Rescue Episode finishing out the rest of the night. Music starts at 7 p.m. and is free.

RECREATION: Tell mother nature who’s boss by joining in the Snow Cheap Winter Trail Series. Six nights winter trail series on Wednesday nights December through March on the trails of Washington Grove. Snowshoe and no snowshoe options. Headlamp required. MUSIC: Looking for some good ol’ holiday a capella to get you in the seasonal mood? Cut-Off has just what you are looking for tonight at Lovin Cup (300 Park Point Dr., lovincup.com) at 8 p.m. for a free performance.

SPORTS: Prepare for an intense battle at WWE Smackdown at 7 p.m. Watch world heavyweight champion Big Show defend his title against “The Great White” Sheamus. MUSIC: Are you a sucker for anything acoustic? If so, you won’t want to miss Rob & Gary Acoustic on their free weekly Wednesday residency at Horizon’s Lounge at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa (199 Woodcliff Dr., woodcliffhotelspa.com) at 5:30 p.m. tonight.

THEATER: Meet the inhabitants of the tiny town Tuna, Texas whose small morals fit the size of their town. In Downstairs Cabaret Theatre’s “Greater Tuna” two actors portray twenty characters in the comedy that will elicit Texas-sized laughs. 20 Windsor St. $29-$36.
