Based on the belief that everyday people can make a powerful difference, local photojournalist Kris Dreessen led an effort to help farmers in Nicaragua open a preschool for their children through her grassroots initiative, The Friends Project. She will host a pop-up photo slideshow exhibition, with an artist's talk at 7 PM, about the construction and impact, followed by images from her around the world journey. There will be coffee raised by the farmers for sale to fund an English class in Nicaragua.
