The First Niagara Fringe Festival has revealed its complete 2013 line up. The festival – which takes place September 19-28 – will run for ten days, twice the length of last year. Fringe includes 360 performances across 28 venues, as well as over 120 free performances. The shows include everything from comedy, to dance, music, performance art, spoken word, theater, visual arts, and children’s shows.

Highlights of the schedule include Cirque du Fringe, and Silent Disco at the Fringe, both appearing in the first North American fringe festival appearance of the Magic Crystal Spigeltent. The magic mirror tent offers regular seating and VIP booths, as well as an interior bar. It will be joined by an outdoor Spiegelgarden (wine and beer lounge), food trucks, and more when it takes over the corner of East Main and Gibbs St. for the duration of the festival.

“Cirque du Fringe is a sassy, sexy, funny show created especially for us in Orlando, Florida,” Fringe Producer Erica Fee said. “This world-premiere variety production will amaze and amuse with 11 different national acts – from aerial silks, to magic, to strength and balance – every evening of Fringe, as well as for three family-friendly shows during the day.”

The Silent Disco portion puts patrons inside a seemingly quiet dance party, until they slip on a pair of headphones. Two DJs battle it out live, allowing you to switch between each of their live sets through the wireless audio system.

New venues have also been added to the expanding festival, included new spaces at ESM, the Garth Fagan Dance Studio, The Space, RMSC, and a University of Rochester Art Bus.

The line up joins previous announced headliners Marc Maron and Dave Barry. Bandaloop, who drew 10,000 people at last year’s festival, is also making a return appearance.

Tickets, as well as the full schedule, can be found at rochesterfringe.com.
