The Genesee Brewery sprang back to life on April 27, 1933 after closing its doors during 14 years of Prohibition. That night, the city of Rochester celebrated at Powers Hotel to signal that Genesee Beer was back! On Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, the Genesee Brew House will host a weekend-long celebration to honor the 80th anniversary of operation since Prohibition.
