An eclectic saxophonist, his musical interests encompass a wide range of genres and a variety of styles, both in the traditional repertoire and the electroacoustic and experimental music, being a member of ensembles with a very different formation. Projects around the saxophone repertoire include a duo of saxophone and percussion with Francisco J. Romero Aljama, which has been performing in several festivals of contemporary music, as well as commissioning and premiering many works for saxophone and percussion. Since 2003, he is a member of the Ziryâb Saxophone Quartet, that has been awarded a huge number of prizes in chamber music competitions, such as the Torneo Internacional de Música, where they receive the Diploma de Honor in 2005, the Concurso Internacional de Música de Cámara “Guadamora”, 2nd prize in 2005 and the Concurso Nacional de Música de Cámara “Francisco Salzillo” in Murcia (Spain), 1st. prize in 2007. They have a CD recording called “Tetraphone” (2007), including pieces of Debussy, Robert, Lacour, Escaich and Rueda.
