C. Storrs Barrows and Donald Hershey:
Masters of Mid-century Design
by Mary Jo Lanphear, Brighton Town Historian
C. Storrs Barrows was a prolific 20th architect who designed simple Cape Cod houses, grand mansions, and soaring public buildings. He made his home in Brighton for most of his 82 years.
Don Hershey was one of the foremost architects in the area. He designed about 500 homes, and for over fifty years fashioned dreams into someone’s home at a small drawing board on Landing Road.
The talk will be preceded by the 14th Annual Meeting of Historic Brighton.
Refreshments will be provided.
