‘Living Libraries’ started in Copenhagen in the early 1990s to combat prejudice and raise awareness through one-on-one dialogue. Countries all over the world now hold human libraries where people are the’ books’, representing a variety of backgrounds and interesting life stories.
Check out a ‘book’ for a half-hour and have an informal, one-on-one conversation with someone you might not otherwise have the chance to meet.
Co-organized by the River Campus Libraries of the University of Rochester.
