Discover South Indian percussion with critically acclaimed Indian musician and entrepreneur, Dr. Rohan Krishnamurthy! In these summer institutes, Rohan will use traditional Indian drums and vocal percussion techniques to lead an exploration of India’s sacred Carnatic music. Students will learn through hands-on performance in a friendly and professional setting that is educational and recreational. Each day begins and ends with a short meditation exercise creating a spiritually sound environment perfect for families and people of all skill levels. We welcome teachers, students, and community members of all ages and skill levels. Participants can receive college credit and professional development hours.
