JAM/WORLD BEAT | January Thaw 2013

It's hard to believe that the groove godfather, Tony Cavagnaro, has been gone six years. But the ripples in the pond the late, great Buddhahood founder still spread through his band. The sound endures with the Buddhahood sporting some new Buddha blood, and through all of the musicians he touched directly in the genre he helped establish here. January Thaw celebrates the man's music and continues his spirit with proceeds going to Tony Cavagnaro's Young Musicians Scholarship Fund at the Hochstein School of Music. Joining the Buddhahood on this bill will be Mosaic Foundation, The John Payton Project, AudioInflux, and a pile of groovy guests.
