Martusciello's is known for its crusty yet ethereal European-inspired loaves, and just about every local deli worth its salt builds on Martusciello's sandwich rolls. The bakery also offers cakes and pies along with authentic Italian pastries and cookies, as well as a robust selection of focaccia, subs, and sides. But Martusciello's greatness may lie in its freeform and generously overloaded pizzas and calzones. Try a pizza heaped with crumbled bacon and scrambled eggs covered in cheese, or the eggplant calzone, filled with six or seven layers of fried eggplant cutlets.
