Headed up by chef and restaurateur Nic Grammatico, Piranha is an inviting spot in the heart of Park Avenue that mingles the not-all-that-differing concepts of sushi and tapas. So while you may be in the mood for some artfully arranged raw fish (like the popular Surf and Turf roll, with both lobster and seared beef tenderloin), your non-sushi-loving companion can opt for fish tacos, a burger, or even empanadas. Decent sake selection, some of which winds up in the Bloody Mary served at the Mexican-tinged Sunday brunch.
