Every once in a while I'll hear about an upcoming concert combination and just know it's going to have that extra sparkle and snap. This Saturday night's concert brings together the RPO, conductor Jeff Tyzik, and vocalist Matthew Morrison, and is just that kind of combination. Morrison is best known for playing Will Schuester on "Glee." He recently released an album "Where It All Began," and his video of "It Don't Mean a Thing" gives Michael Bublé a run for his money. Put Tyzik's snappy conducting and the RPO's warm sound under Morrison and it could be the hottest night on the stage this summer.
The RPO and Morrison perform Saturday, July 20, 8 p.m. at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs St., $24-$85, 454-2100, rpo.org.
