Although history says aviation started in 1903 with the Wright Brothers, the public really took notice of flight later around 1909. Rochester started an Aero Club in 1909 and the first flights occurred in 1910. Sauers will discuss early Rochester aviators, the first airfields in Rochester, and how Rochester contributed to aviation during World War I.
