Every Wednesday this summer Rochester rock icon Don Mancuso and a rotating selection of friends perform at NOLA's on the lake. Mancuso is best known for his long-time association with another Flour City rocker, Lou Gramm. Mancuso and Gramm were members of the 70's rock band Black Sheep, but when Gramm moved on to superstardom in Foreigner, Mancuso tested other musical avenues. He studied classical guitar, tinkered with jazz-fusion, and did a bunch of session work. His professionalism and versatility have made him one of the most respected musicians in the business. In 2011, Mancuso released his third solo record, "No Strings Attached," a collection of all original instrumentals that acts as a solid career retrospective.
Don Mancuso performs Wednesday, August 21, 4-8 p.m. at NOLA's BBQ, 4775 Lake Ave. Free. mynolas.com.
