Materials from our archive on display relating to the life and work of Genevan Scott LaFaro. A legendary jazz bassist, LaFaro performed for only seven years before his tragic death in 1961 at the age of 25. In addition, a Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ American Studies class will present “Murals, Monuments and the Arts: Geneva and New Deal.” The program has been developed as part of their work in their American History Methods course.
