Hart's Local Grocers, a full-service grocery with a focus on locally-sourced products, opened in the East End in August 2014. The market has become a bustling place, so we wondered what a day in the life of Hart's was like.

Highlighted in the slideshow below, employees wrap and prepare a variety of local and imported cheeses. A small dining area fills up quickly during lunches as the downtown crowd picks up prepared foods, fresh sandwiches, or coffee from the café. Hart's employs a variety of cooks to make food items and meals daily in house. Recently, Hart's has launched a grocery delivery service. butchers cut fresh, whole animals from local farms in the back of Hart's to be sold at the large meat counter.
