Dave and Liz Beebe, docents from the CECP, share some of the history of the old Erie Canal and introduce you to the CECP which was established in 1972 and lies between Nine Mile Creek and one of the wooded hillsides in the Town of Camillus, a western suburb of Syracuse. The Erie Canal Park offers visitors a variety of information and options for entertainment, including more than 10 miles of scenic, woodland paths and walkways, boat rides along the historic Erie Canal, and evening dinner cruises aboard tour boats.
