The City Seen: March 20

Notes from the weekend

Peppermint's "Sewn Seeds: Annual Fashion Showcase" was a sold out, packed event last Sunday afternoon at Restaurant Good Luck.

Peppermint opened the show with its latest spring collection followed by Josean Vargas, a Sewn Seeds regular. His cocktail wear collection was filled with mini skirts, angular black and white pieces, and pops of bright cyan blue with black circular accents.

The Rochester City Ballet debuted two new dance pieces during intermission that tied together the soft and the dramatic fashions on the runway.

Guest designer, Sofie Cerankosky, a 15 year old, brought a nude, flowing palate to the runway. The visible leotard under her pieces reflected a current summer trend and unified her collection. Tanvi Ashers' bridal collections had a taste of the roaring 20's and went against the grain by using real brides as models.
