The original location of The Beale has anchored the intersection of South and Gregory since 1998, and in 2011 it was reinvented from a barbecue joint into a “New Orleans Grille & Bar.” That complex mélange of French, Caribbean, and African influences is evident in favorites like gumbo, jambalaya, po’ boys, mudbugs, muffaletta, and étouffée.
