It's hard to find a tale of murder, mayhem, and the macabre that the entire family can enjoy. But fear not: everyone can rejoice in the morbidity of "The Addams Family," the classical comic strip turned into a hit Broadway musical that has now embarked on a national tour that brings it to the Auditorium Theatre (885 E. Main St.) through Sunday, February 10. The musical, based on the ghoulish cartoon family created by Charles Addams and written by "Jersey Boys" creators Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, depicts the death-obsessed family attempting to appear "normal" when the teenaged Wednesday brings a boyfriend home for dinner.
"The Addams Family" runs this week on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 & 8 p.m., and Sunday at 1 & 6:30 p.m. Tickets range from $32.50 to $67.50, and can be purchased through rbtl.org or by calling 222-5000.
