WEEK AHEAD: Events for the week of May 11, 2015

Rochester schools Superintendent Bolgen Vargas will hold his monthly coffee and conversation meeting from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14.
The meeting is an opportunity for teachers, parents, students, and community leaders to meet with the superintendent in an informal setting to ask questions and address concerns.
The meeting will be held at the district’s central office, 131 West Broad Street. BY TIM LOUIS MACALUSO
The Center for Dispute Settlement will hold a community conversation with law enforcement from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at the Charles Settlement House, 431 Jay Street. RSVP to Cheryl Hayward, (585) 546-5110 Ext. 107.
The center has been holding a series of community conversations to help bridge the gap between police and the public. The topic for tonight’s event is the police reorganization, which took effect earlier this month. BY CHRISTINE CARRIE FIEN
