Re: “Working together to survive Trump

So, Ayan Abdi, job/career placement assistant at Rochester Refugee Resettlement Services is scared. This is not 9/11, quit being scared, quit acting like this is some kind of disaster. It isn't that. There are a lot of scarier things in this world, Ayan.

Re: “After Trump’s ‘triumph’: warnings and lessons

I keep reading these articles about how electing Trump was somehow a hateful act, and exposes the hatred of so many Americans. I want to echo Don Sherman's thoughts, it seems a whole lot of hatred has been exposed, but its not coming from Trump voters.

Re: “Fear and anxiety at Cobbs Hill

I have an autistic stepson. Since he is 6'2" and about 240 pounds, we are always worried that someone might misread his intentions were he to walk near somebody. How these parents could not know that, and instead want to make it about race is disgusting. When you have a non verbal autistic person in the house, you must know how other people aren't sure how to react sometimes.

Re: “Hillary Clinton for president

The following is attributed to Chris Matthews. Couldn't have said it better myself:

"If you like the way things are and the way they are heading in this country. If youd like to continue the destruction of our manufacturing base and our jobs that went with it. If you like uncontrolled illegal immigration. If you like being involved in stupid wars from Iraq to Libya to Syria. If you want to say yes to all that and keep all this the way it is vote for Hillary Clinton. If you dont like the way things are heading, youve got a chance to shake this system to its roots."

Re: “Immigration ruling creates anxiety, fear

This is the first step in making citizenship in this country worth something. Mass immigration has been shown to be a really bad idea. Nobody is getting "kicked in the teeth". There are way too many people in this country who simply don't belong here. A nation that fails to guard its borders isn't long for this world.
