Re: “Feedback 7/8

The Childrens Center of Brighton
I work at the Children's Center of Brighton. I am very proud to be a daycare provider at CCB, the recent unfortunate situation of an ex staff member being involved in child porn has been upsetting to me and all of my coworkers. A situation like this can unjustly tarnish our profession. It has been particularly devastating to me (and I think I can speak for all my co-workers) the spectacle that the initial media coverage made of our center without having all of the facts of this occurrence. Childcare is a necessity in our world, without those of us who love our work and do it well in the best interest of the children in our care, employment for everyone would be harmed. TRUST should not be able to be compromised so early by the wrong information provided just for a news story. I've worked at CCB 2 years going on 3 and we run an extraordinary program. The owners are the absolute best people I've ever worked for. They genuinely adore their jobs and show it at all times with their diligence, Integrity and compassion. They are extremely professional with staff, parents and children. The center has always had a pristine reputation and it's a tragedy that the media can so easily defame and place doubt on an outstanding establishment. Contrary to what reports may have led the public to believe, Sharon sexton's activities had absolutely nothing to do with the Children's Center of Brighton. It would have been prudent for the media to have done thorough research before unnecessarily sensationalizing any link between the perpetrator and the center. To further clarify this point the police have told CCB management that no children from the center were involved in this case in any way".
