As dire as climate change is, I actually found some glimmers of hope with this article. Addressing climate change as a bipartisan issue - one where we could possibly have our cake and eat it too, so to speak - seems like a possibility, even if Trump won't admit it. There are ways to fight back against Trump's climate denial, and this article outlines some of them.
Ironically, one source of hope for me comes from a Republican - Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's one Republican who recognizes climate change and wants to do something about it. Maybe, from one celebrity to another, he should try to convince Trump of the need to fight climate change?

I'm sick of the defeatist attitude City Newspaper has taken when it comes to fighting back against Trump (or not fighting back, according to them). According to this editorial, we might as well all commit suicide because there's actually no hope. Trump might as well be dictator and our world is officially now a living Hell and there is nothing we can do to change it.
I thought the media was supposed to inspire us to fight back against Trump? To inspire us to make a difference and change things? This is what the media should do, not tell us to sit down and take it because everything we will do is in vain. No hope? It's the media's job to find hope. Not shove hopelessness so far down our throats that we're not motivated to do anything.
Are you really going to let the Trump regime kill your fighting spirit once and for all? Are you going to let them win for eternity? Because I'm not. Unlike you, I don't have the resources to move to another country and run away from the problems we face. I have no choice but to stay and fight. And you owe a responsibility to your readers to do the same.
