So nice to see the downtown area attempting to be livable with amenities. Mid to high dollar housing brings expendable dollars to support retail, dining and entertainment. In my opinion, a city center is not the place for subsidized housing.
Plenty of space for that outside the loop with access to transportation. Kudos rochester for finally moving forward with proper use of the downtown!
Re: “The fate of Parcel 5”
Hmmm... how about mixed use with small movie theatre, trader joes, cvs type stuff?
Things that majority of people will use with residential and parking above?
Rochester is fortunate several arts theatres and can spend on marketing them if they want to focus more on the arts..imho.. its so exciting to see people moving back to the city and reversing the post war migration to the suburbs. Hopefully mixed use with prevail on this parcel giving entertainment and services to the new residents!
