I like reading your reviews Adam. My family took me to see it on Sunday and I was appalled to see the lack of respect for the plight of women. So, she depended upon a man for her entire existence and then when he chooses to leave her she FINALLY finds the courage to improve herself? Shameful. Why didn't we just name it the Mealnia Trump story? And the homophobic message that was on display in the third part of the film made me uneasy.

This is a shame. She was probably so busy making a living and producing in our country that she didn't have time nor the assistance to be able to fill out her documentation letter. I'll repeat it: Abolish the terrible Rochester city school district and take that money and use it to help good people like Dolores. It' s almost too bad that we couldn't set up a system that swaps people that we don't want: lazy inconsiderate users for good hard working people like Dolores.

I'm going to sound like a broken record but I will say it: Dissolve the atrocity that is the Rochester City School system and take that money and put into downtown development. Rochester doesn't have the luxury that Seattle has with large corporations to fund their social program whims. Take the money that's left after the cost of shipping students to working school districts and use it to attract businesses, which in turn attracts jobs, which then attracts residents. Pretty simple, right? Oh, that's right, too simple for our revered city officials.

Well said Mary. You're right, we like to talk, give, and volunteer but it does nothing to address the root causes of poverty. We suffer from a 'not in my backyard' syndrome and we have been taught by our politicians to do as such. Then, when we look at the amount of money that is literally 'thrown' at the problem we have to wonder, like RevDenise Lynn Smith states: Who is getting rich off of the backs of the poor?
My suggestion is to take the BILLION dollars that we currently spend on the experiment that has been the City School district and redistribute that into the following:
1. Cost of transferring city school students to working Suburban schools.
2. Programs for job obtaining education to city residents on government assistance.
3. Cost of offering working parents free child care services. One of the major expenses in a family single or otherwise, is the cost of child care.
4. For those who need it: Cost of assisted housing for working poor families.
5. Increase in housing authority expenses to help eliminate under equipped housing and increased violations to negligent landlords.
So, let's reiterate:
Eliminate the underperforming City School District and their overpaid administrators and put that money to better use. That will not only hopefully create better citizens but better children.

Let this sink in a little bit: A budget of a BILLION dollars for the Rochester City School District. A district which boasts a C- grade at best in preparing the children for the adult world.
Let's say it again: A BILLION dollar budget. A budget to overpay under-qualified administrators and underpay teachers who have to deal with disenfranchised students and parents.
Does anyone realize what a billion dollars would buy in terms of housing and opportunities for the residents of the city. Talk about the entitled 1%. How do I get one of those cushy admin jobs? Should I get a degree in Human Resources?
Put that money to good use and give it to the citizens. Ship the kids to various Suburban school districts where they have it dialed in already.
A billion dollars buys an awful lot of Chinese Tea.

This exhibition was as beautiful as Rebecca's writing. The subject of Vampirism has always been fascinating to me. It as enjoyable as a cup of fine Chinese Tea. I enjoy the information that City newspaper supplied with regards to the arts. I enjoy attending the presentations very much. Thank you again.

The City School District is a travesty Mary, I agree. Instead of caring about the people they should (the students) they are instead fixated upon their own personal gains. We don't need an outside administrator, what we need is a home grown administrator who would have a local sense of pride and not another corrupt self-serving snake in the grass who sells the City a bill of goods for a big pension.
