The Ment Consort explores the phenomenon of animal sounds in music from the Baroque. Each piece on this program mimics the sounds, behaviors, or personalities of specific animals, from birds to amphibians to mammals. Hear Schmelzer’s “Cu Cu” Sonata and Biber’s Cat, Quail, and Frog, along with other Baroque animals.
