A CAPPELLA | The Whiffenpoofs

Established in 1909, The Yale Whiffenpoofs remains the oldest collegiate a cappella group in the U.S. Fourteen senior Yale men are selected every year to uphold the traditions of the 105-year-old organization while expanding its repertoire into the modern age. From traditional Yale songs to contemporary pieces like "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver and Fleetwood Mac's soul-stirrer "Landslide," The Whiffenpoofs' set has placed the group at the Lincoln Center, the White House, Carnegie Hall and on TV shows like "Saturday Night Live" and "Glee."

The Whiffenpoofs performs Saturday, April 12, 7:30 p.m. at Ausbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue. Tickets are $10 for students, $20 regular. The group will also perform April 13, 2 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 1200 Edgewood Avenue in Brighton.;
