Composer and percussionist Andrew Thomson is paddling his canoe 600 miles along the NY State Canal System, from East to West. He is stopping in to give a lecture about his experiences living and working with the James Bay Cree of northern Quebec, accompanied by a short recital of original music featuring his work “Eeyou-Istchee” (The People’s Land). A brief question and answer session will accompany the event.
