The new chamber Jazz ensemble The Rita Collective takes a Jazz slant on world music. The unusual instrumentation of bass clarinet, marimba, acoustic bass, and altered drum kit was inspired by the musical sounds of Tunisian oud player Anouar Brahem and lends itself well to folk music of the Middle East and Africa.
