This workshop will explore and deconstruct the intersections of history, racism, and cultural cuisine and how they have shape what white America considers as the the African American diet and soul food cuisine. How and when was the term soul food coined and how is the concept of soul food changing and intersecting with black veganism in the present day?
The workshop will be a combination of direct instruction, presentation, and open sharing and participation. It is open to the community but tailored specifically to black and persons of color.
