As a Push Stars fan in the late 90's, I always admired the way Chris Trapper approached his guitar playing. He dug into his Harmony Rocket like it was an acoustic guitar, which gave his songs a sparkly jangle. Now as a solo artist with an acoustic — just begging to be strummed — he switches it up yet again. This time, it's in reverse as he takes an electric approach on his latest contribution to his own impressive stacks-o-wax, "Symphonies of Dirt & Dust."

Trapper balances his guitar within the pastel tones of the backing music; he also balances romance and wonder with a stark sincerity and beauty that is unmatched.
