Alzheimer’s Fundraiser/Book Talk: Local author Phyllis Peters will be appearing at the Lift Bridge Book Shop in Brockport on Saturday April 5th (2-4:00pm) for a talk about her most recently released novel, Untethered: A Caregiver’s Tale. She has some serious fundraising in mind—Peters is donating 100% of the profits from its sale to Alzheimer’s research via the Research Center at Alz.org. Untethered is an upmarket, comedic novel about a group underrepresented in humor: caregivers. “It’s humor and irony aimed not the caregiven, but in praise of the caregiver,” says Peters. “I wrote it to offer hope, emotional support, and some much-needed comic relief to caregivers everywhere.”
