AMERICANA | Lee Winright

Influenced by a long list of story-telling troubadours, like Robert Earl Keen and Fred Eaglesmith, Lee Winright has one toe in melancholy waters while he intones weary and lonesome. The Texan sets the scene for a honky-tonk in the morning where those characters are still bellied-up and drinking from the night before.

Lee Winright plays Friday, June 15, at Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Point Drive. 9 p.m. $5. lovincup.com; reverbnation.com/leewinright.
